Coco Blanca Plans to Close Business on Black Friday
Coco Blanca, the beloved home and fashion boutique plans to close their last store at Wildwood Shopping Center—Bethesda on November 30. After opening their first store in 2010 in National Harbor, and expanding with their second store in Old Town Alexandria, the three owners have decided it’s the right time to say goodbye to their retail business.
The owners—Elisabeth Dupee, Susan Neithamer and Gayla Reed—are so very grateful to all their loyal customers who supported them through their evolution over the past 9 years. “We loved the ride as it took us through many twists and turns, introducing us to so many interesting people along the way, and kept us involved in the surrounding communities. It has been an incredible and rewarding journey, and now it’s time for each of us to to say goodbye and head off into different directions.“
As these three ladies begin to plan their next journey, they have already started putting plenty of merchandise on sale—clothing, furniture, lighting and gifts. Currently, everything is discounted from 30 to 60 percent off. In addition to great deals on merchandise, Coco Blanca is also selling her store displays, fixtures and equipment. Black Friday is a huge retail day, so these savvy ladies have scheduled their “CLOSING BUSINESS SALE” on the same day—Friday, November 23. Incredible deals are promised! The store’s final day will occur when everything is sold on or before November 25.
The closing of a much-loved store like Coco Blanca is impossible to keep a secret … where the owners have had a great time curating pieces with just the right amount of hipness for their customers’ wardrobe and home. These three ladies have always delivered a little extra something to their customers, which is something Susie, Gayla and Elisabeth will definitely miss, saying, “it’s sad to say good-bye to our fun book signings, cocktail parties and art events as we so enjoyed mingling with our loyal customers who have become our friends.”
Please make sure to stop by Coco Blanca before she closes her door on November 25. Take advantage of the wonderful sales. The owners and employees of Coco Blanca would love to see you before they part ways. You won’t want to miss this last chance to visit a boutique that bespeaks the social graces and warm hospitality of bygone days.
