Ponchos & Ruanas by Occasion
Fall in Virginia is my favorite season of all! The streets of Old Town Alexandria just look so beautiful dusted with golden, red, and orange leaves. For me, the best part of fall is bringing back layers in the form of sweaters, shawls, and scarves. This is what I love about ponchos and ruanas! They are a sweater, a blanket, and a scarf all in one.
The Elegant Look
A light ruana with fringe in a color like heather gray, rose, or cream is a wonderful piece to wear as a wrap for a night out. Whether you are heading to a charity gala, a dinner party, or a date night, a luxurious layer is sure to keep your shoulders warm.
Around the Bonfire
For those amazing nights when you kick your boots up around an outdoor fire with a glass of oak-y chardonnay in hand, a turtleneck poncho fits the bill! Your arms are free to move, but your neck is super cozy, and the night breeze is yours to enjoy!
Out and About
For those days when you are feeling stylish, a plaid ruana poncho does the trick! This trend looks stylish with a classic structured handbag, and dark brown booties. Plus, plaid is always classic and gives off a cozy, woodsy vibe all around.
Short sleeve ponchos are so perfect because you can wear them with a camisole on 60-degree days, and with a soft cotton long-sleeve tee on chillier days. The layered look is so simple. Add a long statement necklace for extra bling!
